It’s Not About Having All the Answers—It’s What You Do With Them
If living a healthier, more natural lifestyle was just about knowing what’s good for us, we’d all be thriving. No one would eat processed junk, slather themselves in synthetic fragrances, or sit inside all day staring at screens. But let’s be real—that’s not how it works.

The problem isn’t that we don’t have enough information. It’s that we’re drowning in it. There’s so much advice out there—eat this, avoid that, swap this out, do all these things for optimal wellness—it’s enough to make you want to throw your hands up and say, “Forget it, I’ll just eat the Doritos.” (seriously, just don't.)

But here’s the thing: You don’t need to have all the answers to start making positive changes. Wellness isn’t about being perfect or following every new health trend. It’s about integrating what works for you into your daily life—one step at a time.

Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly. Doing something poorly or inconsistently is still better than being stagnant and accomplishing nothing.

Overwhelmed by Wellness? You’re Not Alone

I get it. Once you start paying attention to the things that affect your health—your food, your household products, your personal care routine—it can feel like you need to toss everything out and start fresh. And let’s be honest, that’s not realistic. Or budget-friendly.

Here’s the good news: You don’t have to do it all at once. Small, intentional changes add up over time, and the best wellness routine is the one you’ll actually stick with.

So, instead of trying to overhaul your life overnight, let’s talk about some simple, manageable ways to integrate natural wellness into your everyday routine—without the stress.

A simple wellness audit could be the answer for you and I can help you with that.

Simple Shifts Toward a Natural Wellness Lifestyle

Our goal here isn’t to be perfect. It is to feel better, live better, and make choices that align with the kind of life we want to live. Here are some easy places we might start:

1. Step Outside First Thing in the Morning

Step outside first thing in the morning
I know, I know—mornings can be rough. I'm really feeling that lately. But getting outside in natural light (even for just a few minutes) first thing in the morning helps regulate your circadian rhythm, making it easier to sleep at night and wake up feeling refreshed.

Plus, there’s something about fresh air and morning sunlight that just feels good. It’s a natural mood booster, and who doesn’t need a little extra help in that department?

2. Rethink Your Grocery List—One Item at a Time

You don’t have to throw out everything in your pantry and start over. Just start paying attention to ingredients. Swap out one ultra-processed item for a cleaner option each time you shop. Maybe you switch from sugary coffee creamer to one with real ingredients. Or you swap out your usual bread for one without a mile-long list of preservatives. Small changes = big impact over time.

3. Move Your Body (In a Way That Doesn’t Feel Like Punishment)

Move Your Body (In a Way That Feels Good) dancing in the kitchen

Exercise doesn’t have to mean going to the gym or forcing yourself through a workout you hate. It can be as simple as walking in nature, stretching while watching TV, or dancing in your kitchen. The key is movement that feels good.

I don’t know about you, but I spent way too many years thinking exercise had to be grueling to count. Turns out, the best kind of movement is the one we actually enjoy—because that’s the one we’ll keep doing.

4. Swap Out Harmful Products—Slowly

From cleaning supplies to skincare, a lot of what we use daily is loaded with synthetic chemicals that are toxic. But again, no need to panic and toss everything overnight. Start small. Maybe swap out your laundry detergent first. Then your toothpaste. Then your deodorant. Little by little, you’ll create a home environment that supports your health instead of working against it.

5. Ditch the Artificial Fragrances

I could write a whole blog about this (and probably will at some point), but here’s the short version: synthetic fragrances are everywhere—candles, air fresheners, personal care products—and they’re loaded with chemicals that can mess with your hormones, trigger headaches, and more. If your estrogen levels are always off, listen up!

The good news? There are better options! Essential oil-infused products, natural fine fragrances, and even simmer pots with real ingredients (like organic citrus peels and cinnamon sticks) can make your home smell amazing—without the toxic load.

6. Prioritize Rest and Stress Management

We talk a lot about what we put in and on our bodies, but stress and lack of sleep can be just as damaging to our health. If you’re running on fumes and constantly overwhelmed, no amount of organic kale is going to fix that.

Find ways to unwind that actually work for you. Diffuse calming essential oils, take an Epsom salt bath, read a book, go for a slow walk, or just take several deep breaths. I've got a couple natural supplements that I keep on hand because they help me when my sleep patterns are off... or nonexistent.
Just please recognize that rest isn’t lazy—it’s necessary.

It’s not about knowing everything—it’s about doing something.

Wellness Is a Practice, Not a Destination

At the end of the day, natural wellness isn’t about having all the answers or following some rigid set of rules. It’s about making small, intentional choices that move you in the direction of better health.

So start where you are. Make one change at a time. And remember: It’s not about knowing everything—it’s about doing something.

What’s one small change you’re making right now? I’d love to hear about it! Drop a comment below.

  1. Essential oils in my diffuser, getting up early, and a daily walk ( tho I'm only 2 days into the daily walk thing) help calm my crazy mind. ❤️

Perfect! I have a harder time sticking with my daily walk in the winter. Can't wait for warmer days!
Which essential oils do you use most often?
