As I get older, so many of the lessons my dad taught me as a kid take on deeper meaning.For instance, when I would explain the series of events that led to me showing up after my curfew, he would tell me that while he understood my explanation, it was up to me to plan ahead so that I wouldn't be in the position of needing to explain.

The other day I opened the cabinet to grab a bowl for dinner and noticed something I’ve apparently been ignoring for years. Right over there in my china compared are the "special" ones — the pretty bowls and plates that are part of a set of dishes my grandparents gave me. And without even thinking about it, I always grab one of the plain, practical bowls to use every day.That’s when the question hit me...

✨ My blog exists because I know what it feels like to keep everything jumbled in your head — like a messy pile of clothes you can’t sort through.

Writing it all down brings clarity, calm, and sometimes even healing answers I didn’t know I was looking for.

Honestly, that’s why I keep showing up to write — it helps me make sense of things.

Even if you have no intentions of ever publishing your work, I highly recommend writing stuff down. It doesn't have to be a literary masterpiece or even full, grammatically correct sentences... just dump those random thoughts onto paper... you'll see what I mean.

Walking alongside my husband, Eric, through two cancer diagnoses changed the way I thought about health, home, and what truly matters. After his passing, that curiosity didn't end—it grew.

Today I write about healthier living, personal growth, and the lessons I'm learning along the way, always hoping something I share helps someone else.

My hope is that this space feels less like a classroom and more like a conversation over coffee—where curiosity replaces pressure, progress matters more than perfection, and together we discover what actually works.
