Over a Month of Free daily Journaling Prompts just for GenXers!

You know how sometimes people think nostalgia is just being all mushy about the good ol' days? Well, turns out, it's way more than that. Think of it like diving into a treasure chest of feel-good memories. Research says it's not just about daydreaming; it's like a secret stash of positive vibes that can totally boost your mood and make you feel good about yourself.
So, instead of brushing it off, embracing nostalgia can actually help us deal with the craziness of today and maybe even give us a push to make tomorrow even better. It's like taking a trip down memory lane for a better today and tomorrow.
Hey, so here's the deal with journaling: it's not just about jotting down your thoughts or to-dos. When you dive into writing about all those nostalgic things, it's like giving yourself a big ol' dose of feel-good vibes. It's a chance to relive those awesome memories, laugh at the silly stuff, and maybe even learn a thing or two about yourself along the way.
Plus, it's a cool way to unwind and reflect on where you've been and where you're headed. So, grab your pen and start scribbling down those blast-from-the-past moments – trust me, it's worth it!

Here's a sample of what you'll be getting:
1. What ridiculous fashion trend did you embrace in your teenage years that you now cringe at?
2. Reflect on the most cringe-worthy song lyrics you used to belt out in your bedroom. Bonus points if you still remember all the words and are wondering why your mom didn't stop you from singing them!
3. If you could bring back one long-lost item from your childhood, what would it be and why?

Hi! I'm AJ Flanagan.

Hey there — I’m AJ.

I’m an empty-nester and a widow who had a wake-up call about the hidden toxins in everyday products most of us grew up using. Our parents didn’t know. We didn’t know either. But once you start paying attention, it’s hard to ignore.

Life shifted in 2018 when my husband, Eric, was diagnosed with leukemia — and again in 2023 when we faced a second cancer diagnosis. Supporting him through treatment changed how we looked at just about everything, including how we cared for our home, our bodies, and our day-to-day routines.
We didn’t aim for perfection or extremes. We focused on simple, meaningful changes — reducing toxic load in our home, choosing better ingredients, prioritizing nourishing food, and building calmer rhythms into daily life. Tools like aromatherapy, music, meditation, and intentional rest became part of how we coped and stayed grounded.

Caring for Eric deepened my commitment to living well — not as a trend, but as a way of showing up with intention and grace, even in the hard seasons.

Now I share our story, the lessons we learned, the small changes that made a big difference, and how I'm moving forward. My hope is to make wellness feel more approachable, less overwhelming, and rooted in real life — especially for anyone who wants healthier options without pressure or perfection.

If you’re here to find what actually works for you, you’re in the right place.
